Partake Brewing IPA Review
Looks & Aroma
Partake Brewing non-alcoholic IPA pours a clear amber with a nice one-inch white fluffy foam. The foam head has moderate retention, and most of the foam disappeared to leave a thin line of foam around the glass.
On the nose, I can smell notes of grapefruit, citrus, light grain malts, as well as floral aromas. Interestingly, I also get aroma notes of black tea.
Taste
The aroma notes of grapefruit, citrus, grainy malts, and black tea carry on to the taste. I would describe the flavor profile as being a little malty and toasted grain, with an earthiness to the hops.
It has a moderate hop bitterness and a light sweetness from the malts, so it is not the most bitter IPA out there.
The body is light and bordering watery, but we must consider that this is a non-alcoholic IPA that has only 10 calories and 2 grams of carbs, so the light body makes sense. The medium carbonation does help to add some body to the mouthfeel.
Lastly, the finish is dry and bitter at the end of each sip.
Overall, comparing this IPA to the Partake Brewing Pale Ale, I found the IPA to have a stronger body and flavor profile – but still not strong enough for my liking.
