One of the best perks of owning a non-alcoholic drinks website is having a built-in excuse for trying all of the new beverages that catch my eye. Recently, I came across a Colorado-based company brewing up something I’d never seen before–hop-infused teas.
Tea and hops in one drink?! I felt like all of my drink wishes were coming true. So, naturally, I bought every flavor. The first one I tried was the Mile-High-Biscus One, a caffeine-free blend of hibiscus petals and mild hops.
Here are my tasting notes in this Hoplark HopTea The Mile-High-Biscus One review.

A Quick Look At Hoplark HopTea
HopTea is a very unique tea-based non-alcoholic craft brew made by combining tea, water, and hops. The result is a hoppy, alcohol-free beer alternative with zero calories, zero sugar, and zero gluten.
Besides The Really Hoppy One, Hoplark HopTeas also come in other flavors. Read my individual reviews on The Calm One, The Green Tea One, and The Really Hoppy One.

Looks & Aroma
Exactly like hibiscus tea, The Mile-High-Biscus One pours a dark pink color.
There’s a good amount of carbonation, made up of tiny bubbles. They quickly break apart upon reaching the surface and don’t form any sort of head.
In terms of aroma, the hops dominate. I didn’t smell much in the way of hibiscus.

Taste
The floral, tropical hibiscus petals are the most prominent flavor in The Mile-High-Biscus One. They bring in some juicy tartness and berry-forward notes to the drink.
On the hops side of things, the blend of the Cashmere and Lemondrop varieties brings a candied citrus flavor into the mix. They also work to emphasize the stone fruit and tropical flavors, while adding a grassy bite to tone down the sweetness (which is great because I don’t like overly sweet drinks).
It has the same tart, almost cranberry flavor typical of hibiscus tea, mixed with a slight bitterness from the hops.
There’s not much sweetness to speak of, but it definitely quenched my thirst.
Hoplark HopTea Ingredients
All Hoplark HopTeas contain a mixture of carbonated water, hops, and either tea or herbs.
In addition to these core ingredients, The Mile-High-Biscus One contains organic hibiscus petals, as well as Cashmere and Lemondrop hops.

Final Verdict Of Our Hoplark HopTea The Mile-High-Biscus One Review
I’m a huge fan of Hoplark’s products in general and The Mile-High-Biscus One is no exception.
This is one of the most unique NA drinks I’ve tried to date and I can’t get over the fact that it’s calorie-, caffeine- and sugar-free. That ticks all of my boxes when it comes to selecting a go-to drink.
But more than that, The Mile-High-Biscus One tastes amazing. The hibiscus petals and the hops are well-balanced, allowing both ingredients to shine through individually, while at the same time complementing each other.
