After sampling over twenty different brands of non-alcoholic red wines, I still haven’t found one that meets my expectations.

Most of them are either too sweet, too thin, too flat, or simply taste too much like grape juice.

However, after trying Surely’s non-alcoholic red blend wine, I was impressed by its depth of flavor. Perhaps this can of Surely Bubbly Red wine will impress me too?

A Quick Look At Surely Non-Alcoholic Bubbly Red

Surely Non-Alcoholic Bubbly Red is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Noir with some infused bubbles.

Cabernet Sauvignon is known for its full-bodied nature with higher tannins, while Pinot Noir offers a lighter body with flavors of red fruits and notes of vanilla.

The combination of both grape varieties is an intriguing choice, and I’m eager to see how the light and floral Pinot Noir complements the robust taste of Cabernet Sauvignon.

In addition to the flavors, I appreciate that this non-alcoholic red wine comes in convenient can packaging. Not many non-alcoholic drink options are available in cans, so I’m grateful for a NA wine choice that I can easily take on the go.

Surely Non-Alcoholic Bubbly Red Review

Looks

Surely Bubbly Red pours a dark red color with lively bubbles.

Aroma

On the nose, I can detect a pleasant blend of red berries like cherries, along with hints of blackberries and red grapes. I appreciate that it carries the aroma of red wine without being overly floral or grapey.

Taste

Just like its smell, this wine bursts with flavors of red and black berries, particularly blackberries and cherries.

It’s more on the dry side but not sour. I think this non-alcoholic red wine finds a great balance between being dry and sweet.

The tannins and a bit of bitterness from the Cabernet Sauvignon give it some depth and complexity, but there’s also a hint of sweetness in the taste.

I also experimented with adding a few drops of non-alcoholic bitters from All The Bitters to enhance the wine’s flavor. I often do this with many non-alcoholic wines, and I strongly suggest giving it a try to elevate the taste of your NA wine!

Mouthfeel

It reminds me of a Pinot Noir because it’s light, but it doesn’t feel too watery. I also like how it leaves my mouth feeling dry, just like regular wine does.

My Final Verdict Of Surely Non-Alcoholic Bubbly Red

I really enjoyed my can of Bubbly Red, and I think it is one of the better non-alcoholic red wines I’ve tried.

There is a depth to the flavors that many non-alcoholic reds lack, and I also like the light effervescence that reminds me of a bubbly. It reminds me of a light, bubbly red wine without the alcohol kick.

What I Loved:

  • There is a depth to the flavors that I enjoyed
  • The dry finish without being tart
  • I appreciate the convenience of having it in a single-serving can!

What I Did Not Like:

  • It still does not remind me of real wine, but that is the current situation across all wines, especially red wines.
