Partake Blonde Review: Non-Alcoholic Blonde Ale From Canada

I love my Blondes because they are sippable, simple, and great for picnics and evening drinks with friends.

Blonde ales are famously known for being an easy-to-drink beer with subtle malt and hop characteristics.

After tasting and reviewing three other Partake Brewing core beers (IPA, Pale Ale, and Peach Gose), I am ready to see if this non-alcoholic Blonde Ale is going to impress me.

Partake Brewing Blonde ale is a non-alcoholic Blonde beer with only 15 calories and 2 grams of carbs in each can.

Blonde ales are traditionally known for their simplicity in flavor and aroma, with light malt sweetness and low hop bitterness and aroma.

A typical Blonde ale will have a light bitterness, subtle hop flavors and aroma, slight malt sweetness, and hints of spices and herbs.

Partake Blonde pours a clear golden hue with a one inch foam head that quickly disappeared, leaving a thin foam lace around the glass.

Aroma

On the nose, I can smell a bready malt aroma, cereal grains, and a light hint of citrus.

I don’t think the smell is impressive or strong, but that is quite in line with the subdued aromas of Blonde ales.

Taste

Like a typical Blonde Ale, the main flavor notes that I can taste are very light bready malt and cereal grains, with a slight note of citrus.

I can’t really taste the malt sweetness, and the hop bitterness is almost non-existent as well.

Mouthfeel

The body is light and bordering watery, with lots of carbonation to give it texture and liveliness on the tongue.

Overall, it does what a blonde ale is suppose to do: be light and crisp but nothing else.

I think Partake Brewing Blonde ale is great as a sessionable beer with its lightness and unassuming flavors, and one that I can easily drink a few in a row.

Final Verdict Of My Partake Blonde Review

I’ll be honest – the taste of this Blonde ale is not going to blow you away. It definitely did not blow my mind.

The aromas and flavors are very subdued and weak, and no one note really stands out.

Like I said, it serves its purpose as a crisp, refreshing, and clean Blonde ale, and I still think it tastes better than a Bud Zero or an O’Doul’s.

Overall it is a decent non-alcoholic beer, and I would bring this with me on a picnic or a hike because it is easy to drink.

Great For:

• Those looking for a light, sessionable pale ale.

Not Recommended For:

• If you’re looking for a hoppier NA beer.
